Wow. I should have looked before I posted. It appears that there is only about one post per month. Does anyone really use this?

Weight loss goal : 15 pounds Apr. 13th, 2013 @ 09:30 am

Hello, my names Ellie and I'm aiming to lose 15 pounds. I've tried various ways of losing this weight but am rubbish at sticking to fancy diets and just can't resist the tempting foods I love. Therefore maybe talking about my food intake will help me reduce it to achieve that summer body (most of us) are so desperate for! I am aiming on between 1200-1500 calories per day to reach my goal by July. I regularly exercise at the gym, although that could be done WAY more often! I also try to take part in an hours badminton session once a week, however this is often not possible:S I would love to speak to someone who's trying to lose weight just like me! I go off track so easily, it would be great to have some motivation and in return offer support!

Looking for someone to help keep me on track. I want to loose weight but I am lacking some serious motivation. Looking for someone to trade failures and successes with. Someone to keep me on track and I will try and do the same for you.

Body buddies, how are you going to snack healthy during the Super Bowl?
My boyfriend wants rotel dip and hot wings. I could make guacamole for myself with pita chips or veggies, and grilled chicken dipped in buffalo sauce or just something different entirely.
What will you all be having?

Hey everyone,

My name is Kristin.. I'm 24 yrs old and I'm 5'5. I started my journey of losing weight back in April. My starting weight was 200 pounds and I've made it down to 154 pounds so far. My goal is to get down to 130 pounds by June. I really wanted to join this community to find inspiration and to help anyone who might need support.

The way I chose to lose weight was by doing 90 minutes of cardio 5 times a week and maintaining around 1500 calories a day. I try to eat healthy, but I don't restrict myself completely of junk food. Now that I'm getting closer to my goal weight, the weight has stopped coming off as quickly. I went from losing about 8 pounds a month to losing 2 or 3 pounds a month. It could just be the winter months as well.

Anyway, this is just a summary of what I've been doing. I can't wait to hear everyones' weight loss stories, and I'm happy to be on this journey with you guys!

I also try to be more active and have to fitnessgoals this year:

So I would be happy to get a message from you :)

Hey, I'm Amanda!
So, I've been obese my entire life. My only real attempt at losing weight was four months ago, and I only lost 17 pounds before I gave into temptation, binged, and basically forgot all about my diet. I need to do this for real, though, and I have no one that wants to truly do i with e, which I think would really help with keeping me in check.

Age: 24
Height: 5'7"
Current Weight: 240
Target Weight: 175

Back Story: I used to weigh almost 300lbs 3 years ago. Up until June of this year i was down to 209. After i found out my ex was cheating on me i got super depressed, stopped working out and began binge eating. After ex and i broke out i started working out but it wasnt putting a dent in my calorie intake. the smallest i have ever been was when i was in middle school i was 115lbs, and i ate whaterver i wanted but rode my bike to and from school everyday (about 30min each way).

How to Achieve: I wake up before work and ride a stationary bike for 30mins at a moderate speed. I work from 12:30pm - 11:30pm. While at work, on my break, i try to go outside and walk for atleast 30min at about a 2.5 speed. After work i go back to the gym and ride a stationary bike for another 30mins. On a good day (when i get to do everything) that gives me a total calorie loss of about 898. I am intaking roughly about 1000 - 1200 calories a day.

Goals:
* loose 5lbs a month, on a steady average to put me at 180lbs by December, 2013.
* on days off, make one of my gym sessions an hour long and include in some walking/jogs
* buy a brita filter, so i can drink much more water thru out the day
* take body pictures once a month to hopefully capture the change
* continue to keep daily count and track of my workouts/eating habits

Hi there,

I've just joined LJ to document my (hopeful) weight loss and I'm looking for people in a similar situation in the hope that we can buddy each other along!

My current weight is 204lbs and I would like to eventually get down to 150lbs. My short term goal is really just to get back under the 200lb mark!

Feel free to comment or add, I'll always return the favour. :)

I am 5'8 and around 154 lbs. I would really like to lose 20 lbs. I am 24 years old. It's going to be hard for me because I am accustomed to eating a lot of junk food.. since well, my parents stopped feeding me and i chose to feed myself.. with stuff that easy, fast and super fattening. Please add me if you are serious about losing weight. I am going to be writing in my journal on a regular basis about what I am eating and doing to get into shape.

Let's do this :).

Hey all!

I am 26, 5 foot 5, and 182 pounds. I'd like to get down to the 120-135 range. I'd like to eat healthier and feel more satisfied with realistic portion sizes. I'd like to get fit. And I'd like to work it all into my lifestyle such that, in time anyway, it is just habit and not something that either is consuming all of my thoughts, energy, and efforts, or is not happening at all (which is how I got this big...).

My biggest challenges are hunger (complete with weakness and mood swings), bad habits and beliefs (that lead me to avoid cooking, for example), and excuses. I'm also working with a low income and fluctuating life circumstances, which causes stress.

But I'm sick of seeing my weight skyrocket. If I don't get serious, some day I'll find myself 200, 250, 300 pounds and I'll have to get serious anyway, but have a lot further to go than the ~60 pounds I have to shed now! I really have to make some changes, for good.

I'd love to make some friends who are on the same journey, at whatever stage. We can blog together, share tips and recipes, encourage one another, and generally feel like we're accountable to someone, like someone is reading our posts so we have more reasons to keep making them.

I'm also new to LJ. Feel free to friend me!

Feel free to friend me :)

Hi everyone! *waves*

Name: Chelsea
Weight Loss Goal: 80 lbs
What I've Done So Far: I was drinking energy drinks(specifically Red Bull)daily and drinking lots of sodas. I have cut all that completely out of my diet. I have one cup of coffee in the mornings to keep the caffeine monster fed and then I drink ridiculous amounts of water the rest of the day.

I am attempting to follow Tom Hardy's Warrior workout. The journal I'm posting from is where I plan on making daily updates so feel free to friend it. I started my food journal today and plan on starting my workout on Monday.

Looking forward to being supported by and supporting all you guys!

Hi everyone,

I am new to the LJ community but not new to the struggle. I decided to do the journal to help me be accountable on my weight loss. In the real world, no one sticks with it, and I lose my support. So I am seeking support to help keep me accountable.

Thanks
